Nice set of links for your truck or car. Seems to be strong and durable, I shouldn’t have to worry about these failing when pulling a trailer.. All-in-all, I’m happy with the item I received.

Hooking up my trailers is going to be a little easier now with these 1/2 inch Tow Hitch Hammer Lock Safety Chain Adapter Connector Links. My new truck, 2023 F250 has a pretty heavy duty hitch with a 2 1/2 receiver, and the place you are supposed to hook your safety chains is thick and bulky. The safety chains have this extra safety latch that will not close over the thick cutouts on the hitch so I am not real comfortable with how they sit in there. With these chain adapters, the shape of them allows them to fully hook through the receiver and also lets the safety chains completely connect and close the extra safety latch. I will feel a little safer now going down the road and it's easier to connect the safety chains. This also gives me just that little extra length on the safety chains and I can cross them under the trailer tongue for a little extra safety on the road.

These were bought for the hitch on an F350 pickup. These making clipping on the safety chains a lot easier and safer. The way the hitch comes from the factory doesn't work very well without these. These would also work well for splicing a half inch chain. After these have been on the hitch for awhile they can be hard to remove, so plan to leave them on.

Well made and heavy duty shackles for 1/2” chain or to connect to the pull hooks on your truck. Red color makes them stand out and easy to see. They go together quickly with the hammer pin design and are rated at 12,000 lbs. Fit and finish are excellent. Good value for these shackles.

They make it much easier for me to hook up my trailer safety chains. So far I haven't noticed any rattling so I think I will leave them permanently attached to my truck.

They feel like real shackles--case-hardened, the real deal.The pin is set-and-forget--put it in once and it never falls out--with no wiring required. I've been using half-inch or three-eights inch shackles for years and I always have to get new baling wire each year to secure the pin to the bell so that my equipment doesn't come loose.I'm looking forward to many years of maintenance-free service from these.
