These are easy to put together and offer two possible heights you can use; snapped all of mine into accommodate the maximum height because, except for a few sneakers and sandals, all of my shoes have some heel or platform. These are NOT suitable for 5" heels or higher, especially if they have a platform in the front; you also can't use them for booties. If your heels are 3-4 1/3" in height, you should be okay. I was able to find 12 pairs of shoes that I was able to use these for, and they seem pretty sturdy, though it's just three pieces of plastic snapped together. If you have a lot of flats or canvas sneakers, you shouldn't run into any issues.
