Grommet center hole is 3/8" and is the standard size for Fermentation Airlocks.

I used these to convert some of my Mason Jars into a vacuum sealed containers. That's a good way to test if they'll be good for fermenting. I wasn't disappointed.The free gift was something I had no use for, but it was reminiscent of my grandma always making sure I packed my LDS scriptures when I went on a trip. Although I'm agnostic, I always found the gesture touching and as from a place of love. She made sure that I had all that she believed were essential to life without making me feel like I'm a heathen for not believing. I'm not tossing it because of sentimental reasons.
