This is a great cane bolt. Very easy and straight forward to use. It functions exactly as it's supposed to.

This cane bolt is of fair quality. I ordered the 12", but in hindsight, a longer rod would have been better for snowy conditions—though it’s not a major issue.While I can't use it on my original gate as planned, I have a smaller, partially covered gate where it should work out just fine.

I needed a way to keep a lightweight custom built garden fence shut. I expect some level of ground shift as the posts are light weight so wanted a latching mechanism that was flexible, and this seemed appropriate to anchor to the ground. Installing was very easy, didn't use the included screws as deck screws are much easier to install typically so used some extra that I had on hand instead. Gives a secure lock into the ground. If desired, this locking mechanism could also be installed sideways instead of into the ground. Heavy duty and perfect for my need.

I love this gate drop pin. It’s very sturdy and looks great. The hardware is strong and stylish. The price point is good. Easy to follow instructions and packaged carefully. I am thinking of ordering a couple more to replace our older ones. I can highly recommend this.

This is very heavy duty and comes with everything needed to install the device. I am using it a little differently than it was intended for but if you are using it for it's design it is a straight forward process. I need it to keep dogs in a gated yard (they keep popping the gate lock and this will definitely be heavy duty enough to get the job done. It arrived quickly (ordered Sunday, delivered Wednesday) and eas will packaged to prevent scratching during shipping. The price is very competitive and right around where it should be.
