I use my laptop in public places a lot, so I wanted something to keep my screen private. This privacy screen works really well. When I look at my screen straight on, everything looks clear. But from the side, the screen looks dark, so people next to me can’t see what I’m doing.It was easy to put on my laptop, and it doesn’t fall off. I also like that it helps reduce glare from lights, which makes it easier on my eyes when I work for a long time. The screen also protects my laptop screen from scratches and dust.

Over the course of the last two weeks, I have been working remotely from a variety of locations, including coffee shops, co-working spaces, and even aircraft. I have been managing calls from clients, writing articles, and keeping critical information hidden from nosy eyes. When I was in that flurry of locales, I would find myself squinting at my computer, fighting glare, and thinking about whether or not the person sitting next to me could see my private emails. Everything changed the moment I attached this anti-glare, blue light-filtering privacy cover to my laptop, which is 10.1 inches in diameter. When I placed the detachable privacy screen into place for the very first time, I was amazed at how well it lined up with the display of my laptop. The magnetic tabs held it flawlessly even when I jostled my luggage on an airport cart, and it just took a few seconds to align the borders of the bag. After some time had passed, when I went back to having three consecutive meetings at a café, it was just as easy to remove the screen. There was no sticky residue, and I did not have to struggle with clips; all I had to do was give it a short lift, and my laptop returned to its regular profile, ready to take a video chat. Following the installation of the shield, I put its ability to provide privacy to the test by purposefully leaning to either side. My screen turned black even when I tilted it at a thirty-degree angle, covering everything with the exception of a very faint gray surface. From the other side of the spectrum, when I confronted the display directly, the brightness and clarity remained flawless. Because of this equilibrium, I am able to compose important financial reports in a busy airport lounge without having to worry about any shoulder-surfers. Furthermore, I am able to rotate the laptop toward a customer for a briefing without having to remove the shield, which is an incredible game-changer for maintaining anonymity.

Less time was required to set up the privacy screen than it took to boil my morning coffee. With the help of the perfectly cut edges that correspond to the 16:9 aspect ratio, I was able to line the film with the bezel of the laptop and then softly press it to attach and secure it. There was no bubbling or misalignment on the screen, and it was completely flat within a few seconds. The shield is easily removed and tucked away in the magnetic sleeve that is supplied in the package whenever I transition from voice conversations to video calls in my own home office. In the future, putting it back on requires just a single move, which is why this is a vital tool for me to have, regardless of whether I am working from home or in a shared office environment. After the installation is complete, the privacy effect is instantaneous and unbreakable. The only thing that everyone who is sitting next to me sees is a muted gray reflection, regardless of whether they are across the coffee bar or at the desk next to me. On the other hand, I am able to see well and without any decrease in clarity. Because of this peace of mind, I no longer lean over my computer or cover my screen with my body. Instead, I keep a comfortable posture and continue working without interruption, secure in the knowledge that I am the only one who can see important data and project drafts.

This screen cover does it all. It has a matte finish to prevent glare, privacy protection, and blue light filtering. The screen is thin and flexible to fit a variety of screens, even curved ones. It comes with thin double stick tape to keep it secured. It was easy to apply to my laptop, but would work great on an external monitor as well. I like the blue light filtering and it really does help prevent eye fatigue after a long day of staring at a screen. The privacy filter works really well. You can’t see the screen unless you are right in front, or just a tiny bit to the side. Anyone sitting next to you won’t be able to see your screen - it’ll just be black. I’ve used similar screens that were glossy and it was always distracting, so I love that this has the matte finish. Overall it works really well and is perfect for my needs. A really great deal considering all of the benefits. Highly recommend.
