I love these lanterns! They are handy with easiest activation: just pull the handles up to lift the top section for light to show -- you control how much light. Bright light shines 360 degrees. Battery access is easy with just a turn of the bottom of the lantern. I keep a lantern on my nightstand in my home! Much better than flashlights that have varying ways to activate and only provide a narrow stream of light. The 2nd lantern is in my Emergency Bag. For me, this is one of the best purchases I've made in a long time.

$14 for two? These are great, I bought several and have them prepositioned around the house for emergencies/electrical outages (our wires are on poles and get wacked during high winds) and put one each in our cars for the same reason. Very bright, and magnetic base makes them even more useful. Highly recommend.

This lantern is smaller than I thought and light weight but I like it. It is very bright. I decided to buy a few more for my family who live in the Island and experience power outages due to hurricanes. I have not used it long enough to comment on the battery life. I do recommend this product.

The power goes out where I live in the summer alot due to storms. These were the perfect solution for me. They are of quality material and do provide quite a bright light. I really can't talk to battery life because that depends on the batteries you use. I used the ones that came with it and they lasted quite a long time. Definitely a great deal from the price. Recommend having a set around for emergencies, camping, wherever you need some light.
