I generally make up SB50 pigtails like this out of 4ga or 6ga wire.8ga is fine for 40-50 amps, which should be plenty for most applications.But genuine SB50 connectors are rated for 120 amps continuous (50 amp hot plugging), and they can handle even higher loads for short periods, such as jump starting.So I prefer to have the wiring meet or exceed that rating.But sometimes it's really convenient having someone else make up the harness :-)I'd be even happier if they used heavier gauge wire.

This is a pack of two Anderson connectors with battery terminals.Anderson connectors are high current (50A) DC power connectors. All Anderson connectors are the same; there is no plug or socket. Any connector can be plugged into any other, and the polarity cannot be reversed. The contacts are covered to avoid accidental shorts. This is a well-designed connector.These are used on a pair of LiFePO4 batteries, with a 20 amp charger that has an Anderson connector. They delivered the full 20 amps and nothing even got warm, so these are good for high current use.

Good quality anderson power cables and connectors. Can be a screw on addition for many large batteries, or be modified for a custom battery project for a simple connect/disconnect solution.

I used these to set up a quick disconnect for my trailer batteries and they worked great.. the Anderson-style connectors snap together tight and feel really secure. The included 8 gauge cables are a nice touch and saved me some time, though at 1.64 feet they’re a little short if you need a lot of flexibility. The overall build feels sturdy enough for medium-duty use like tractors, small motors, and basic battery setups

I have a collection of LiTime LiFePO4 batteries for various projects and applications and have started using Anderson SB50 connectors for all my interconnects. The M8 rings are perfectly sized and though I prefer a bit larger gauge wire, these 8 gauge cables fill the bill for charging and light duty applications under 50A. They have the benefit of flexibility and light weight but 6 gauge would be better.
