Perfect for in-ground pool with deep end. Non-fade ring bouy. Meets US Coast Guard safety requirements. Strong and very long orange cordage. Cord does fade in Southern California sun.

The product arrived in a nice box and was properly packed, etc. We needed a replacement life ring for our community pool. But this life ring is extremely light, which is NOT a positive! This thing can blow away with a gust from a fart. It is literally as light as a feather. So we have our life ring hanging on the back wall and this new ring falls off constantly where the old one had some weight to keep stable. The rope, grip ring, and carabiner that came with the ring are great and I ended up having my wife sew the new rope to the old life ring. So you need to be aware that unless you keep this life ring inside it's a waste as it won't stay put. You've been warned. Lol

Glad the rope handle is plastic that won't be destroyed by the sun, as happens with the foam ones.

purchased this life ring for our rooftop pool, where it's exposed to both sun and a little wind. Unfortunately, after only a short time of use, I'm very disappointed with its durability. The rope has already started deteriorating, and it’s now coming apart at the seams. The inner strands of the orange rope have frayed and are spilling out, and the secondary rope that’s attached to the ring itself is also showing significant signs of wear and tear.Given that this is supposed to be an outdoor product meant for safety, I expected it to hold up much better under normal conditions. We will need to replace it much sooner than anticipated. Definitely not worth the investment for anyone needing something that will stand up to the elements.

This seems like it will work well for our swimming pool. I don't know if it's regulation size (or if there is a regulation size), but adults tried it out and it worked well. Bonus: I bought some orange patio umbrellas on sale and was worried about the color. But the orange string on the lifesaver matches the orange umbrellas perfectly! Worked out for us!
