When I received this switch I took one look at it and thought "that looks just like the switch in my Skil saw model 77." I took my Skil saw 77 apart and checked and sure enough it does fit in the limited space and the trigger switch works fine. The one screw and a post mounting is exactly the same. Now, I am not sure that the reverse is true, that is, the new switch is smaller than the Skil saw switch, so the Skil switch might not fit into the Milwaukee saw. The current rating is the same, however, so I don't see any problem using either switch where it will fit.
