Update: I had a wedding and Mother's Day to prep flowers for the same weekend. This rose stripper was pretty ineffective in helping me strip large batches of roses. It kept getting caught in the leaves. It also stripped off too much of the stem, which leads to issues with bacteria getting into the roses. I didn't really save any time because I kept having to stop to manually get rid of the stuck leaves and thorns.I resisted getting rose strippers for a long time. Some roses don't have too many thorns, but some of them are absolutely brutal on your fingers. I'm prepping centerpieces for a wedding and decided that it would be way more efficient for me to get one of these than to use my snips to deal with the thorns. I didn't think it was necessary to get two, but I do like the option of keeping one to use in my travel kit and another one to keep at the studio.
