These battery terminals are awesome, exactly what I needed. My battery has only side post terminals, and I am currently hooking up a HAM radio in my car. I had no way to connect a ring terminal to my existing battery posts, these solved my issue completely. All I had to do was cut the rubber boot off of my existing car's battery wire so it would fit around this, then tightened it down. The bolt on the other end allows you to easily connect accessories to your battery. The length of the bolt was perfect for my battery and I am not worried about it breaking through the membrane at all.I only ended up using one of these, on the positive terminal of the battery. For my radio install I ended up grounding it to the ground strap on my firewall that runs down to the engine block.These are awesome! Highly recommend. Haven't had any issues so far.
