A 2X teleconverter, also known as a teleconverter or tele-extender, is a lens accessory used in photography to increase the focal length of a lens. It effectively magnifies the focal length of the lens by a factor of 2x, hence the name "2X teleconverter".

This works well on my Canon T4i. It does double the focal length of my Canon 75-300 mm zoom lens. However (and this is why I’m giving it 4 stars instead of 5), it renders the AF unusable; I can only use my zoom lens in MF mode when mated to this extension. Since I shoot in MF mode only, I can live with it.
