I recently purchased this netting for my sailboat on a lake in Arkansas, where mosquitoes are a major issue during summer. It’s been a fantastic solution for keeping bugs out when we open the hatches at anchor! The netting fits the hatch perfectly and does an excellent job of protecting the cabin from insects. My only minor issue is that the weighted ring at the bottom doesn’t lay completely flat on the deck. I’m hopeful that some time in the sun will help it settle, and I think adding a bit more weight could perfect it. Overall, the size is spot-on, and it’s a high-quality product that’s made a big difference. Highly recommend for any boater battling bugs!

We anchor out a lot, and when inshore, or in tidal areas, we are often overrun with buggies. I really like that this screen covers the entire hatch, so it doesn't interfere with opening or closing at all. That said, since it basically just lays atop the hatch, after opening, you will have to go outside and ensure that the mesh isn't hung up on the hatch, pulling the edging up and allowing space for the critters to get in.The only issue I have is that it doesn't lay out flat very well. I had assumed that the leaded edges would lay out pretty in straight lines, but that is not the case. They are curved all over the place. It will require some work to get the edges to actually lay down, and do so in straight lines.Otherwise, I really like it. I have is the size of the webbing in the screen. It looks small enough to keep out mosquitoes, but only time will tell if the mesh is small enough to keep out Noseeums. Having bug screens will preclude us from having to run an air conditioner at anchor, which requires running the generator, which we prefer not to do. Nicely made, and we look forward to using it!
