Alloy: 655 | Material: Bronze | Shape: Bar/Round | Diameter 0.3125 Inches | Item Length: 72 Inches Bronze Round Bar 655 is a high-silicon bronze that exhibits a combination of strength, corrosion resistance, workability, weldability, formability and wear resistance. 655 also sports a distinctive and attractive color that makes it popular for architects and artists. It is an EPA-registered antimicrobial. It is typically used for marine hardware, fasteners, bushings, and shafts. Bronze is an alloy of copper which can vary widely in its composition. It is often used where a material harder than copper is required, where strength and corrosion resistance is required and for ornamental purposes. The variations in bronze (both in proportion and elemental composition) can significantly affect its weathering characteristics. "True" bronze is a combination of approximately 90% copper (Cu) and 10% tin (Sn), however there are three major classes or types of "bronzes" used in sculpture and construction. UNS C65500, CDA 655, C655, ISO CuSi3Mn1, Copper-Silicon, High Silicon Bronze This product weighs 1.71 pounds and meets the following specs: ASTM-B98
