The package of stakes contains straight , curved and round stakes. They are a very strong clear plastic. I am using the straight ones to help with my orchids they are working out quite well. The round one I am waiting to us in my ivy plant as soon as it is big enough. It will be nice to be able to help shape the plant as it grows.All of the stakes are clear and very sturdy I think they are well worth the price and would recommend them to anyone looking for help with their gardening.

The acrylic offers some significant benefits, i.e., looks, easy to clean, shouldnβt discolor, strength, etc. however, their polished surface is so smooth/slick that unless I use rubber ties to hold the plant in place on it, I see no other way to reasonably do so. They arenβt textured, including where they are to be inserted into the planter and if used outside and a strong wind blows, I canβt imagine that they will remain securely in place.From looking at the pictures, I had wrongly assumed that the shaped sections could be inserted into the straight stakes to make a higher lift. That was my error as the listing says no such thing and *each piece is solid*, rather than tubes which could be joined. For $18.99 I had expected moreβ¦While they donβt meet my needs, they may serve very well for the purposes of others.
