I managed to detangle them and pull them apart without destroying them, which was painful enough to justify loss of a star, but once that was done they fill the bill of adding some inexpensive bling to a hat band. My wife is using them for a hat she is wearing to a western-themed summer teaching program for kids, and she is able to change out the bands every day to create some variety.

These arrived bent, stuck together, and reeking of plastic! BUT I was able to separate and untangle them and the creases are not permanent. The fit my hats very well and are attractive so I have them airing out in the garage until the plastic smell goes away.
