This is a great color variety of perler beads, and I really appreciate the addition of 4 peg boards! You get a really generous amount of each color, which is great when you're completing a bigger projects. They're really easy to work with, and melt well too. They worked interchangeably with multiple other brands of beads I used too. My only complaint is that the tweezers were terrible, but I have a lot of those on hand already, so that wasn't a big deal. I absolutely love the case they arrive in, and the beads are in separate bags upon arrival, so you can arrange them how you please. It's a great way to get a nice variety of pastel colors, and would make an awesome gift!

This is a great set at a great price! The container is awesome...very compact and all snaps together easily. The boards are clear, so you can easily see the pattern behind and you can even print or draw your own patterns. The provided patterns are adorable though, and the colors are great! Lots of beads so you can make a lot of projects with the provided set. I love that it also provides 2 sets of tweezers... you'd be surprised how many craft sets only include one, but it's so fun to do with friends! Highly recommend, because even if you don't use it again down the road, the container is amazing for other crafting supplies.

This kit is perfect, there are so many different options to choose from for beads and little designs to choose from. My nieces use this more so to make bracelets and I love that they can be imaginative and creative, letting their imagination run wild.

I was honestly not paying attention and thought this was the water kind and not the heat kind. So totally my fault and not the item's or the sellers. I love crafts (and yes I am an adult) and am always looking for something to keep my hands busy other than my phone. This has adorable patterns inside and so many beads and colors. The kit is amazing, but I do not have an iron to fuse them, so again, my fault and I am not removing any stars for this detail.

This is an awesome gift! My kids LOVE making things with perler beads.. they usually start with the kit’s ideas then begin to get creative and make all sorts of interesting creations by looking at diagrams online. Interestingly enough, they have made characters from video games, comics.. adorable animals and even spelled our names for Christmas ornaments! It’s fun watching them sit quietly and concentrate over their design.. so engrossed in following the pattern! I’m happy to iron the design and help them make it into their own permanent creation! My girls asked for some more “girly colors” and I found this kit not only gave them a huge refill of beads in a dozen colors but they are also getting more supplies and a SUPER handy carry case! I’m really happy with the quality of everything and am sending one to my best friend’s daughter on the other side of the country for summer break fun! I’m sure her mom will appreciate the extra quiet time. :)

This is a really nice set of beads. Each color comes separated in baggies, and I really like that the container they come in has different compartments for each color. I like that it comes with a variety of pegboards--4 squares that you can use individually or hook together for extra large pieces as well as some animal specific shapes. The case that holds everything easily is great, too, as well as plenty of fuse papers to use!The beads fuse together pretty well, but I would use a lower heat that you normally would as they melt really fast, faster than other fuse beads that we've used before.

I originally had gotten this set as an activity for me and my children to do together or for them to have something to do during rainy days; I'm going to keep telling myself it was for the kids. We finally got the chance to do a few things together last night. Then it was time for them to go to bed and I quickly found myself spiraling into a new hyperfixation. It is a lot of fun and the set overall is great. There are a few minor negatives that I have to note so I'll get those out of the way first.So I want to start by saying that I have not used any kind of fuse beads in, I don't know, 20 years, maybe more, so I don't have a clear comparison to the major name brand or other brands for that matter. My first negative is that the box states that it has 13 colors. Now it does say in the title and description that it comes with 12 colors which is accurate. But the fact that the label on the container itself States 13 is a little misleading but not the end of the world-the 12 is comes with are vibrant and beautiful. My other issue is that the beads don't all seem to be quite the same size. Occasionally there are ones that are a little shorter or a little taller than the majority. I found that while ironing my finished piece, those taller beads would catch on the iron and if they weren't already melted enough it would cause them to go askew or bring up other beads off of the pegboard. The first attempt ironing a piece was a complete failure. The whole thing got messed up because of those beads coming out of place. They also don't seem to melt at a steady Pace, so I end up with some that have completely blended together and others barely melted. This could absolutely be user error though and hopefully there's just a learning curve and I'll get there. Additionally, this kit does not come with any kind of instructions. to be fair, All fuse beads are essentially the same and it's not a complicated concept, but since it's been so long I had no idea what temperature setting to have my iron at or how long I should heat them nothing. A quick Google search could not fix. Lastly, the pegboards, while sturdy, did warp under the heat of the iron. They popped right back into the correct shape after I was finished, but I worry that over time and continued heat exposure they may warp permanently.Now for the positives, the case that it comes with is fantastic. It is sturdy. It closes easily and it keeps all of the beads nicely contained and off of my kitchen floor. The beads are able to be well organized, making it easy to find the exact color you want without having to shuffle through a giant mixture of a dozen colors. The templates it comes with line up with the pegboard nicely and the final image is clear and adorable. The kit also comes with everything you need except the iron to dive Right in. As I stated before, the colors are beautiful and there are enough of each color to do many many projects. The pegboards are sturdy and they hold the beads pretty well. My 9-year-old had no problems creating a project without frustration or a difficulties- she created the green narwhal entirely on her own, opting to over iron one side and not iron the other side at all. She said she likes the contrast of look and feel on each side and who am I to argue. My 5-year-old did struggle a little bit but I believe that's more so due to her dexterity and not because of the product itself. I suggested she forget the template for now and just "practice" by putting whatever colors she wanted into the board where ever she wanted as the template kept shifting under the board when she attempted to use it. This kept her placated and we were still able to spend time together as we each worked on our individual pieces.The 8 templates are fantastic, but with a little imagination (or the power of the Google search engine) you can create just about anything. You absolutely aren't limited to only those pre provided patterns.Overall, I believe this is a great starter set for anyone looking to see if they enjoy the craft or for children who's attention spans may not warrant the purchase of a kit with 30k beads. It's also a great option for someone who wants a decent variety of colors but doesn't want to set that as 30 plus different options which can get a little overwhelming.

The container says there is 13 colors when mine was delivered there was only 12 colors
