My liftgate was having trouble opening and staying in place. Once opened, the liftgate would randomly move up and down on its own. There was some leaking on the driver side power strut. This strut was a perfect replacement. Removing the old strut was not a fun job - you need to get behind the driver side cargo panel and there are lots of clips holding the wiring in place and they are difficult to reach. I was concerned that clipping the wiring of the new strut in place would be equally as difficult, but it was easy. The pre-attached clips on the wiring are in the exact same place as the old strut.
