During a Grand Canyon wilderness backpacking trip, my hiking guide lent me a pair of these OR Sun Gloves and I was immediately sold on the concept. They not only protect your hands from the sun but also eliminate the need to carry extra sunblock. I use a sports stick solid on my face and used to carry a small tube of liquid sunblock to apply to the backs of my hands which I don't need anymore. I already wear long pants, long sleeves, and a hat that covers the back of my neck so the only part of my body that was still exposed to the sun was the backs of my hands. The gloves also provide comfort while gripping hiking poles and extra skin protection from brushing your hands against rocks, trees and shrubs. The tiny plastic clip for connecting them together when storing them in my tent at night prevents them from getting separated. To care for them, I simply rinse them in warm water and allow them air dry.

I have average medium-sized hands and these fit perfectly (slightly on the tight side, but in a good way).Have abused them for a few weeks now and they are wearing well.I use them during trail races and long hikes when I'm using my racing poles - these keep my hands from getting blisters and prevent sunburn as well. Clean easily.One note - once they get wet they dry pretty slowly, particularly due to the fabric used in the palms.I suspect these will last one hiking/trail racing season - we'll see.

I wanted these for hiking in the desert. You wouldn't think it's important, but covering your fingertips is necessary to prevent burns! Good if you're looking for fingerless gloves.

I bought these to avoid having to put sunscreen on my hands. They are lightweight and very comfortable, and my hands don't get sweaty. The only ways they could be improved is if there wasn't a big gap around the Velcro closure (kind of defeats the point of sun-blocking gloves), and the thinness of the material makes them cling to your hands and makes them annoying to take off and put on again.

The gloves are a great material for the hot desert. They seem to hold up well when I'm sliding down rocky hill slopes, they haven't torn yet, which is why I bought them. I love the vent holes in the palm material to help keep cooler. They seem to wash well in the washing machine in a delicates bag. The only complaint I have is that I wish the material went higher on the wrist. Otherwise a great glove!
