I discovered the holes being much further apart than the original part. I did not get to doing the repair until a few days over one month from purchase. When I tried to return more than thirty days about one week not able to return for refund. Such an obvious defect should not be limited for such a short return policy. I buy many things from Amazon and am wondering why.

I had no problem unplugging the factory probe and installing the new one. Still working after over a months use. The bottom hole of the new probe did not align with the oven wall hole, but I seen it not necessary to drill another hole.

I ordered this temperature sensor to replace part#WPW10131825 for my KitchenAid Oven Model# kems308sss05. The screw holes on the tab are set wider apart than the original piece so I only could screw in one of the two screws. After testing the part seems to work with only 1 screw installed.

My Whirpool Electric oven started throwing an F3 E2 error and proceeded to burn a batch of muffins. I was dismayed at the thought of buying a new unit but then some Google-Fu led me to try to replace the temperature probe. For my unit it was clearly visible in the top right of the oven against the back oven wall secured by two small phillips head machine screws. Unscrewed the two screws, dropped one, cursed, then pulled gently on the wires to get the harness exposed and just unclipped the old and swapped with the new.I ran the oven for 30 minutes at 350F while keeping a BBQ probe thermometer in the middle rack position location. Temperature was pretty consistently hovering about 15-17 degrees cold/low. For this oven I had to press and hold the BAKE button until it beeped and showed 0 CAL on the display. It allowed me to change the calibration increments by 10 degrees at a time. I went on the lower side and bumped it up by 10 degrees. That brought the actual oven temp right around 345+ range which is close enough for the girls I go out with. You shouldn't expect perfection but anything more than 15 degrees high or low of your set temp should warrant a re-calibration.

Thanksgiving morning my wife puts in the oven. About 30 mins. later, the oven has a long beep and F3 pops on the display indicating the temperature sensor has failed. Well we managed to limp through turning the oven on and off to cook everything. I ordered this sensor hoping that would fix the error. Its a wall mounted whirlpool electric oven, so I had to remove the unit and the back panel to get to the temperature sensor. Popped it out and quickly installed the new one. Presto. Works like a charm and for the price, you can't beat it.
