Properly times the water into the planter. Very easy to use and setup. My plants seems healthier since I dont need to worry about forgetting to water the plants.

I travel alot and I love this to water my indoor orchid collection. Works perfect, stays charged for 6 weeks. I can use my portable charger bank to charge this also since its a usb-c. Make sure all the piping is tightly secured, if not you will get water everywhere. If you push everything together tightly and secure it well it works like a charm. For the price totally worth it.

This is not our first purchase of auto waterers. The hoses that came with the 2 waterers, the ones that go out to the plants, do not fit. The stakes that came with the systems did not fit either. We had to go to a hardware store to buy parts. Due to going on vacation we did not have time to send these back. I am disappointed.

Purchased because of plans to be away for three weeks. It is easy to set up. I used a bucket as my reservoir. It is stated to be sure the bucket is below the plants so it does not siphon the water out. I found that it is best to use boiling water to make the tubing end soft to get the connections in. The tubing is hard plastic and not giving, but by putting the end in hot water, it makes it soft and easier to work with. Being the controller is chargeable, I don't have to worry about batteries going dead or an electrical outage. The controller is easy to program. This is a good solution to keep plants alive while away for an extended period.

After unboxing, and after reading the manual, and after reading customer reviews for setup tips, and after viewing the instruction video . . . it was still a pain to set up. For putting me through all of that -- when adequate documentation would have solved the problems -- one star deducted. The supplied tubing is the same outside diameter as the attachment nipples on the pump housing. Which makes it deucedly hard to push the tubing onto the nipples. Review tips came in handy, but only by combining two tips -- gently warm the end of the tubing with an open flame, then shove a cone-shaped object (such as the end of a ballpoint pen) into the warm end and allow that to cool for one second, thus forming a bell shape on the tubing end. Then quickly (while the tubing is still warm and pliable) shove the tubing end onto the nipple. Voila! Programming the control is not hard, but you must read the manual to explain the functions. During my test, the supply line was kinked, resulting in noisy operation plus a "low water level" alert -- once I un-kinked the supply tubing, everything works flawlessly and quietly.

I really like the interface on this one and this is a must have for plant parents. I have a lot of plants and no one to take care of them if I travel for a long period of time so I set this up and i’m good to go. It’s also great to just setup for every day use to for ease in watering. It takes some time to setup and test but once you have it setup you are set.

Product Reviewed: Upgrade Automatic Drip Irrigation Kit – for $36TL;DR; includes stiff vinyl tubing and soft silicon tubing; User Interface is Confusing; Will partly function on AC power; missing manualThere are some excellent reviews here already so I plan to focus on a few of the quirks and work arounds. We travel a lot and I have been curious about these systems to allow us to be away for weeks or months. This is a pretty complete kit. You will have to spend some time over the course of a few days to experiment on how you can best use this. Don’t order and expect to have a good result the day before you leave for a month. My system did not come with a manual. In addition it was clear that you cannot do the setup on the pump/controller module when the unit is plugged in to a wall wart charger with the supplied USB-A to USB-C cable. At first I thought this meant the unit would not function unless it was unplugged but the timer does appear to run the pump even when plugged in. This is important to me since we could be gone for months and there would be no guarantee the battery would last that long.I’m still unclear why there are two different types of tubing. The clear vinyl tubing is a perfect fit on the inside of the silicon (translucent) tubing and also to the drip watering spikes. It would be very hard indeed to install on the pump itself. I suspect the idea was to somehow only use the silicone tubing to connect to the pump and use the vinyl to run to the water spikes. A hair dryer is a good way to soften this kind of tubing. Possibly the check valve is for helping to interconnect the pump to the watering spikes and T’s.So missing manual, unclear UI setup that doesn’t function during charging, and a strange tubing arrangement make me knock off a point for execution. 4 stars and I think economical and worth the investment in time. How I review:Reviews start with 5 stars and I subtract points.- 0 for value but I try to provide guidance-0.5 to -3 for product not matching description e.g. stainless steel is actually plated steel-0.5 to -3 for product missing badly on executionI select products carefully so low (1-3 scores) are rare but detailed comments and critiques almost always are in the review. Most of my reviews come out 4-5 range. If possible I dismantle or destroy items to examine inner workings.

Ok lots of mixed reviews on this but I feel it's 5 star for sure. The pvc tubing is harder to connect to the plastic pieces but I used a little organic olive oil on a Qtip as a lubricant and it pushed on with a little effort. The connection is tight and secure. I understand that pumps can drain all the water if it isn't correctly installed as to create a siphon but I have it installed correctly where the bucket of water is below everything that is watered so it won't siphon the water out! I have it set up now to test the flow rate for two day water intervals so I can see how much and how often to water Thai consolation Monstera when I leave for work trips! This so far has far exceeded my expectations and with know one able to come water my plants this will be a life saver for many of them! Lots of great tips on reviews read them and they will help you figure it out!
