I'm going to be nice on this one because one of the reasons I purchased it was that I wanted a tool I could do single flares on in multiple sizes of tubing. Having said that, I did also purchase it hoping it would live up to its promise of also being able to form a nice double flare. Perhaps there are other types of "double" flares but the industry standard double flare is also referred to as inverted or SAE. If you search online for images of this type of flare you will notice a very rounded outer edge and a nice inverted cone shape inside. This tool very nicely does the single flare which gets you the inverted cone shape but using the additional pieces they include that I assume are intended to complete the double flare by doubling over the outer edge (no instructions included) to create the round edge actually flatten and leave it a sharp edge with a very slight rounding on the end but not the edges. IF this tool is capable of performing an actual double flare it would have to be with a huge amount of "eyeballing" and guesswork... I need a precision double flare so I will be purchasing a more expensive tool for that. I will, however, keep this to perform single flares.

This flaring kit will probably work on copper and aluminum, but would not hold a 1/4" steel line tight enough to work. I borrowed a friends "Craftsman" set and it was obviously more robust and did the job. Look for a better quality kit.

This nuwfrog Automobile Double Flaring Tool kit with Extra 5 Dies(3/16,1/4,5/16,3/8 and 1/2 inch) of adapters for Brake Brass Tube and Copper Aluminum line.45 Degree Flaring is great tool to have. Simplicy to flaring for the DIY, yet a good tool for automotive repair shops. I have used it for many vehicles and results are great. Less expensive way to replace bad brakelines using this Nuwfrog Automobile Double Flaring Tool kit. Does the job!
