The BAHCO FM10 10-Inch file master has an overall width of 29/32-Inch and has 9 and 13 teeth per-Inch. It is designed for shear cuts on steel, plastics, laminates, and hard woods. Also good for finishing in most materials. This file master has curved teeth for fast removal of soft metals, lead, aluminum, soft woods, and fillers. The edges are parallel and uncut and the surface has milled teeth, one side shear UT and the other side curved teeth. The file is coated with a protective layer of paint.

Works well to flatten ski bases - removes metal and p-tex equally well. Wish the handle was removable. Another reviewer mentioned that coating dulls the cutting edges. I've found that if you use it on something relatively hard (eg steel) the coating chips off and exposes the sharper steel edge.

Great quality file that leaves a very smooth taper on 4” plastic pipe. Definitely recommend even at the price

This file is coated in durable paint (enamel?) to prevent rust. The problem it that this literally takes the edge off the teeth, making it perform like a worn out file. This idea shouldn't have made it past R&D.

Has two very different cut patterns, both work well with plastic material and don't plug up in use. At first I thought they were too coarse for fine work but that was not the case.

The curved undercut cutting surface is ideal for working with wood or fiberglass/epoxi, any softer surface . You can quickly work a surface down to be smooth and even. These kind of files are surprisingly difficult to find as good as they work.

Purchased for filing hard (ABS) plastics. Cut smoothly and did not fill up like metalworking files. Left smoother finish than rasps. Good price too.

Había probado otras limas anteriormente y siempre acababan por dejar de funcionar bien, esta cumple con su cometido sin problemas. Especialmente indicada para trabajar con aluminio por que las virutas se pegan con facilidad y embotan las limas, con esta no tendrás ningún problema ya que sus dientes son bastante grandes. No esperes un trabajo fino usando esta lima, pero si un trabajo rápido y sin esfuerzo.
