For the many Coloradans who take their peakbagging seriously, this small poster maps out 58 Colorado fourteeners. 53 of these are the officially ranked 14ers which have at least 300' of prominence, and 5 additional named summits over 14,000' are also included on the map. Unranked peaks are noted with italics and lighter coloring. You can track your progress on the list by pinning or coloring in the icons! The map has been updated with LiDAR elevations.

The framed versions are mounted on foamboard without glass so they’re ready for pinning right out of the box. The unframed posters are shipped rolled.

Adding pins will become your new obsession

Standard poster frames make it easy to place pins in your map. Leave the front plastic off and place pins into the cardboard backing or use foam board for a smoother surface. For a more professional look, use spray adhesive to keep map flat. Avoid mounting with glues, rubber cement, etc.; unlike spray adhesive these may saturate and warp the paper.

Other ideas

  • Color in the icons! Paint pens or red permanent markers tend to look the best.
  • Use small stickers, such as gold stars.
  • Use a set of tiny magnets.

I expected a beautiful framed map. It was a cheap plastic hollow frame. No glass. Map was printed on cardboard. The whole thing was only worth about $10 or less. It was a gift and when I saw it later, I was embarrassed.
