When the top is tightend on the shaft, and the drain is in to open position, the unit is to far in the closed position. The water drains very slowly from the sink. You must have the drain cap barely screwed on to the shaft for the sink to drain properly. The stopper is in the down position, it allows the sink to fill correctly.

Seems well made and works great. I like being able to just lift it straight up out of the hole in the sink to clean it. The only negative is that I sometimes have to lift it up when it doesn't initially let the water drain fast enough. I think that's just airlock when water first rushes into the drain from 360 degrees.

We ordered this for a new vanity. Sink, that did not come with a drain. It was easy to install and appears to be a good quality. Only time will tell with the finish, but so far it Pops up and seals well. We have not used the strainer part so far.

Installed easy enough. Use some lube on the rubber seals and the bottom nut to get it to tighten up. No plumbers putty needed, so that saves 4 bucks not needing to buy fresh container of that. Very please with the look. Will but another.
