I recently ordered the blank journal with clasp for personal use. I love all things mystical and vintage and this journal fit both. It looks exactly as pictured. If your wanting a tightly bound journal, this is not it. The pages are gently hand stitched in. What you see in the edging in "X" form is the stitching or binding. The paper is a bit rough but that's no big deal. The clasp works as it should. It looks great next to my moon bookends.
