They use Blizzard’s signature FlipCore Construction, which builds the all-wood core “upside down” so it doesn’t fight the rocker sections in the tip and tail the way traditional cores do. The result is a ride that’s got all the agility and float you crave, without compromising edge hold or powerful performance from the underfoot traditional camber. Add in TrueBlend technology, which tweaks the positioning of wood densities in the construction to give you tuned flex and response, and the result is a ski that’s ready for anything you point it at.

I had the old original version of this ski - the 2012-2013 bushwackers. I loved them to death. I’ve since gotten two pairs of the Brahmas - one for tele and one for alpine - and think they’re the perfect skis for me and like the addition of the metal plates. I’m an expert east coast skier and like a variety of conditions. I love skiing bumps and spring snow but also love steep groomers and carving around on blues. The side cut on this ski performs amazingly in all of those situations. Look no further.

I used these skis in PA, NY, NH, VT, and CO skiing this Jan-March.They handled the terribly icy PA snow and the ice and some packed powder in VT and NH.They also worked well for me in the groomed packed powder and powder in CO. We skied with these (my wife has the Pearl's the female version of this ski) on several days where is snowed 8-14 inches and they navigated the powder quite well. I think snow deeper than 12 inches probably requires a wide ski, maybe 100 mm under foot than these 88s. But they served us well.
