This stuff is not good.Do yourself a favor and buy some of the wide 3M blue painters tape instead. They sell it in wide rolls too (right here on Amazon). Spend a few bucks more to buy the genuine 3M blue tape - the real stuff is soooo much better. Trust me, You'll be glad you did! The real stuff stays put but won't leave residue.I regret buying the cheap-o stuff

I'm comparing this to a 2-inch roll of big-brand blue tape, which I find slightly stickier and slightly thicker -- and frustratingly susceptible to tearing while unspooling (when half the tape keeps sticking while the other half pulls loose). This green tape unrolls perfectly, but is still sticky enough to adequately seal a border while painting a wall -- and it removes cleanly. It tears easily in both directions too. We'll see if continues to behave as it ages, but for now I'm pretty happy with the performance, so I recommend it, assuming you find the price competitive.

We use this type of tape for marking off specific areas we need to photograph for product placement in front of the camera, and it worked well using this product within our business. However, I also used it to mark off areas where we need to spray paint backgrounds for our products to showcase them differently. This tape works best if you lightly spray the first layer and let it dry completely. Then go back the 2nd time a bit heavier handed and spray again. Then once dry you can gently pull the tape off for a cleaner line. If you don't spray paint it lightly first and pull the tape you might not get a clean line. Thank you.

This extra wide roll of tape is great for my use. I own a laser cutter and have to mask off lots of areas when I’m engraving or back filling with paint. The width of this roll allows me to do it much quicker when I have a large area to mask. Tape removes easily and with no residue. Very pleased with this. 55 yard roll will last me a good amount of time.

"This tape sticks down well but sometimes too well depending on how you want to use it. On my Prusa printer it worked fine. On pieces of wood I use to to mask for lasering and painting, it also worked fine but I would not use it on my walls for painting.I think it comes down to the material you want to use it on. If it's hard like wood, metal, plastic it works well and the whole point of getting this roll is the fact that it's 4 inches wide which comes in very handy. I wouldn't use it on a wall or paper or even plain cardboard. It can pull up the surface. I didn't have any problem with residue on my wood projects"
