Getting this to supplement the WTX. It is nice that this NGX version has measurement markings. However, they appear to be painted instead of etch in the aluminum. This means that the markings can be scratched off over time. Compared to the WTX, it is nice that one end if fixed which makes it easier to use.Unfortunately, the unit I received had a nick on the side that would impact how well the saw or the saw plate slides along. I could have sanded off, but this is right out of the package so it was returned for an exchange. Hopefully the replacement will be nick-free. The nick might have been done during packaging. It highlights how delicate the aluminum can be and should be handed with care.Overall, it is a reasonable saw guide but I can't attest to how well it compares with the competition when it comes to quality.

It’s straight and true but clamping force is a joke, need to use other clamps just to have a chance at the guide rail not shifting during use

Haven't even used it yet and the measurement marks are already rubbing off. Good thing I only really need this as a straight edge for my saw, but you'd think they'd have caught this by now considering how easy the markings are rubbing off, can literally rub them off with my finger.

This 1 piece length is great but the 2 piece ( 8’ ) has a weak connection that doesn’t stay straight.

Upfront disclosure: I received this item through the Amazon Vine program for review.I don't have a table saw. I have a power miter saw with chop and slide functions and two circular saws. A while back I bought an inexpensive straight cut guide to use with my circular saws, but that one had adjustable angles (which don't lock in place) making it extra tricky to get it locked in straight. So when I saw this one I ordered it right away hoping it would be a lot better. In short it is vastly improved. I still find that I have to square it up on both ends when I lock it down but that is reasonably easy to do and it is always pretty close to square from the start because of the design of the clamps. A few times I thought I had the sliding end up against the board when I locked it down, only to find out that I had not actually slid it into a position fully against the wood. The first time it happened I didn't catch it until I was half way down the board with my cut. After that I started double checking at it hasn't been an issue. The ruler markings are quite nice and this guide also has two tracks that allow for a t-shaped guide to be used with the track. Allowing for conversion of a saw to a mounted track saw or a router to be attached. Its a nice feature, though those pieces are separate purchases. Bottom line, this does what I need and is way better than the cheaper one I got at a discount hardware store chain. Could it be better, sure, but it is really very good.

I have wanted one of these for quite some time and I'm glad I finally go one. I have a table saw but it's not great and it's packed away and in accessible most of the time. I[m not going to go to the trouble to get it out for a couple of cuts. The Bora guide is easy to store and setup when you need it.I did have two issues, the first was the cap on the non clamping end cracked. I am not sure when it happened, I don't know if it came that way or it's something I did. You usually don['t have to mess with it so it might not be a problem. The 2nd one I found was pretty common, after you release the clamp you can't get it to slide. I found a lot of people online with the same problem. Through trial and error I found a viable solution. With the bottom of the clamp facing up, use the thumb of one hand to press down on the front of the clamp while using the first 2 fingers of your other hand to pull back on the clamp. You will notice some "gripper pads" where your fingers go. Do these things at the same time an you hear a loud pop and then it's free. It works 100% of the time for meI tried to get in touch with Bora to try and get a replacement end cap but no luck so far. Even with these bumps in the road I am glad I got the guide, I use it as a straight edge even more than a guide for a saw. Good addition to my shop

It worked great for my application. I had to remove 3/8 of an inch from the bottom of three hollow core doors. Set the clamp at the correct distance and just guided the circular saw across. Done in just a few minutes with a perfect cut.
