When a door lock doesn't work, it has to be fixed. This door lock actuator was simple to install and provided the relief needed when the old actuator failed... A DIY person can perform the task.

I just received the door lock actuator Friday. I installed it Sunday and works like a charm. I did have an issue installing it all the way, however, after removing and using its momentum it fits snug. Now I do not have any issues with locking and unlocking my door. Autozone wanted $41 and I paid $15 and installed it by myself saving a total of 195 dollars from a mechanic. It was not as easy as youtube makes it out to be.

Lasted three days. Just rebuild this Explorer. Third time I drove it, I couldn't get Back in the driver's door, to crawl thru and open from inside. Lock actuator is bound up so that you can't even unlock from inside.

Spent a good part of my day installing, lasted two days before going out. I returned and just went to Auto Zone and bought one with a warranty and now works perfectly. This part is junk, don’t buy. We bought two and the second one is already starting to make a weird cranking noise so will probably return as well.
