I had a similar one years ago but lost it. This one is a bit smaller . Of course I use it to clean hooves on my horse. That's what it is meant for. Fits in my pocket on trail rides.

This is a nice, sturdy hoofpick that fits well in a pocket or saddle bag. The only reason I gave it 4 rather than 5 stars is because, ad other reviewers have noted, the tip needed to be sharpened.

Handy and easy to carry. Fits in a pocket or lash to a saddle for trail ride, ring, or at a show. Everyone should have one of these!!

I haven't used this yet but it seems sturdy and will stay open when needed. I keep it in a pack on my saddle.

Got them as a present for my parents who just got into owning horses. They loved them. Small and can fit easily in a pocket for those in between moments to loosen a small stone or a bit of gunk. It made the perfect stocking stuffer.

Trail horseback riding sometimes presents the stone in the hoof hazard. This folding hoof pick is small enough to fit in a pocket and sturdy enough for most stones. It folds for safety. We did sharpen ours a bit, but that is up to the rider. Good trail and safety accessory.

The brass folding hoof pick, is a nice small pick you may take in your pocket. Whenever you need it for cleaning and scraping the hoofs of your horse you will have it on hand. It kind of locks in the open position, which is helpful. For creative people who do leather crafting, it's a very nice and original belt buckle or for closing a bag or purse!
