I love this thing! I keep my house too cool (about 67° in the winter, 72° in summer) for bread to rise properly. This proofing box takes all the guesswork out of the process. I particularly appreciate that the heating element wraps around all the sides, so the bread not just sitting on a heating pad. The temperature control seems to be on target.It easily holds the mixing bowl for my big Kitchenaid mixer. I have a small kitchen, so I tend to leave it on the floor, and that works just fine.I think I would have given up on baking my own bread without this. Now I’m making about a loaf a week!

I’m using this to make L. Reuteri yogurt which requires a lower temp than typical yogurt makers and it works great! Lots of room so you can use any size jars you want and make a couple of batches at once. I do 2 litres but there is lots of room to make more. I also use it to proof dough for sour dough bread because we keep our house temp low and it’s working well for that too. I love being able to fold it up when not in use. It’s so great to be able to control the temp and running time precisely to my needs. Definitely worth the money.

The temperature is hard to set, and the instructions are useless, but I finally figured it out. The temperature varies quite a bit, but the range is still acceptable for proofing bread.

In using the proof box. It has been great. I wish it was a little large to allow easier use of large bread bowls and baking trays.

I use this to make salt rising bread and it does exactly what it needs to do. It's easy to set the time and the temperature. I like that it collapses so it's easy to store.
