Crafted from enameled cast iron, this sink resists scratching, burning, and staining for years of beauty and reliable performance. And the enameled cast iron has a smooth, non-porous surface, which makes it very easy to clean.
The Canvas measures 19-7/16 by 16-1/16 inches, has a basin area of 17 x 14 inches, and a basin depth of 3-15/16 inches. The sink offers an overflow drain with a 2-5/8-inch water depth to the overflow. A pop-up drain is sold separately. It is also ADA compliant.

Kohler warrants the enameled cast iron component of this kitchen sink to be free of defects in material and workmanship during normal residential use and that it will not chip, crack, or burn for as long as the original consumer purchaser owns his or her home. Gloss reduction, scratching, staining and alkaline etching of the finish over time due to use, cleaning practices or water or atmospheric conditions, are not manufacturing defects but are indicative of normal wear and tear.

Product itself seems to fine and as advertised. The packaging, while I appreciate the care, was a nightmare. It looks like they put a box inside a box and then sprayed/poured foam in around the boxes. You basically have to cut your way through the foam, then cut the foam from around the internal box. All this make a significant mess. But, product was undamaged.

Beautiful and sturdy, made of cast iron base, coated with glossy enamel finish. After it is installed undermount, the depth is perfect for most lavatory needs, unless you plan on submerging you face in water! Bone white with a hint of gray.

I rate this sink a 5 since it is obviously a higher quality than the cheaper coated steel sinks. The cast iron is heavy, yes, but it has a wonderful deadened-sound when the water hits it - not tinny like cheap sinks. The glaze is glossy and luxurious, you can tell it's a high-end sink. It is a bit on the shallow side but if you under-mount it, it makes it a bit deeper. It's also a bit heavier but not a problem to install. We looked at many sinks for the right shape to mount a faucet on the side, one that was uniform in shape and depth and not a deep back/shallow front. This one fit the bill! It's a refreshingly simple shape that has a modern edge to it. I would have loved a colored sink as I think the sea salt color is gorgeous but we went with white to match the toilet, boring, I know. I know Kohler cast iron sinks last forever - my parent's have had a navy blue cast iron Kohler bath sink for over 40 years and it still looks perfect after all these years. The glaze is still good, the color not faded, no chips, pits, stains or rust. You can't go wrong with this one.
