The kit includes a lens cap and focusing mask, frankly the lens cap should have been an item that was included with the Seestar S50, but was not. It is easily installed and provides good protection for the lens on the telescope. The cap and focusing mask attach just like the solar filter that came with the scope (interference fit into the lens opening.) Both items fit neatly on the scope as you can see in the attached photos. The cap can be left on the scope when you close the arm without any problems.

They fit great and do what they are intended to do. Great addition to your Seestar accessory collection.

Strictly speaking, you really don't need either of these items for your Seestar. But, along with a leveling base for the tripod, these were the first accessories I got for my S50 to help improve the experience! The cap and mask are 3D printed from TPU, which looks to be a good choice for these items as the flexibility makes it easier to use the tabs to pull them back off when you need to, and the items aren't going to get dinged up from handling like hard plastic might. On both items there is a strip of foam around the lip that mounts to the S50 that you need to check before attaching for the first time! On the cap, one edge had come loose and I stuck it back down before checking for fit on the telescope, which was snug BTW. On the mask, the foam was good and the mask fit snugly as well. Both items stayed put in use and I was not worried they would fall off.

This product works as expected. It provides nice diffraction spikes which aid in focusing the S50 telescope. The downside of this product is a critical dimension needs refinement. Referring to the attached picture, the yellow arrow points to the feature which slides into the S50's optical tube assembly (OTA). The outside diameter is about one millimeter to large, resulting in excessive friction. That friction usually disturbs the level alignment. This dimensional issue can be solved by the user, by lightly sanding the outside surface, thereby reducing the unwanted friction. If the customer is willing to tune that dimension, this is a great accessory.

The lens cover is a good fit and allows the arm to close with it on. I have found The Bahtinov Mask to be useful. The autofocus on the Seestar is quite good most of the time but I've had to use manual focus a couple of times and the mask helps quite a bit.
