The threads for the screw are directly opposite the screw slot, which gives nothing for the screw to clamp the string against but the flimsy rubber sleeve. Does not make a firm connection with the string. The screw should be at a 90 degree angle to where the string slot is so it has a solid surface to press against. You can see this in the pictures, too bad I didn't look more closely before making my purchase.

Unfortunately, the inner vinyl tube are too thin. As a result they slip on the string. Tightening the screw can pierce the vinyl layer and damage the string. Strings are too expensive to waste on a cheap suppressor.

Came on time and works well on my cello. I had a severe wolf tone on D string. Putting one wolf eliminator on G string resolves the problem on D string also. If issue no resolve, I say it is set up problem (ex. bridge, post, and etc).
