This is a nice little crinkle cut slicer.The construction is very solid and feels very comfortable in the hand.The green part is smooth plastic, but the grey part on the end is rubberized and makes the slicer easy to grip firmly.The slicer blade is fairly sharp, but a guard is included that you can use to protect your fingers from accidental cuts.I immediately used it to make waffle fries and they turned out fairly decent... after a bit of a learning curve.This is a nice addition to any kitchen's drawer of gadgets.
