Your cart is empty.A CURT front trailer hitch allows you to use the front end of your vehicle for a variety of towing applications. They can be used for mounting a winch, a snow plow, a number of towing accessories and can even be used for some trailering applications. When space is limited, a front trailer hitch is commonly used to hold a cargo carrier, freeing up space inside the vehicle for extra cargo and making the rear mount receiver available to pull a trailer. At the boat ramp, your boat trailer can be hitched up to the front receiver hitch, giving you better control over the trailer as you launch. Some of the other accessories that can be used with a front tow hitch are the CURT winch mount, step pad, license plate holder, spare tire mount, skid shield and tow hooks. All CURT front trailer hitches provide a useful receiver tube to accept a 2" x 2" shank, and they are commonly used on trucks, vans and SUVs. This front trailer hitch is rated for 5,000 lbs. GTW and 500 lbs. TW. It also has a straight-line pull rating of 9,000 lbs. It is designed to be a custom trailer hitch for certain years of the Chevrolet Silverado 2500 HD and 3500 HD and GMC Sierra 2500 HD and 3500 HD (to verify your vehicle compatibility, see application info). It comes with all necessary hardware for a complete installation and is backed by a limited lifetime warranty.

I had a front hitch on my old truck that I used for plowing and occasionally, my wife launched my boat with it. That was a lot easier for her than backing in. I now have a 2025 Chevy Silverado 2500 HD, and this was a perfect fit. Installation took about 30 minutes, and I too had to trim a small piece of my valance. I used my motorcycle jack to balance the hitch while I installed it, and I think that was better than a second pair of hands. My only complaint was I didn't like having to provide my license plate number to order the hitch. It's not like I don't know what kind of truck I have.

The packaging and shipping were terrible. Huge box, 4'x 2'x1.5' with a completely unsecured hitch inside.This allowed the hitch, weighing about 30#s to bash the box and broke thru the end. Despite the flanges being 1/4" steel, one was bent. I managed to straighten it with a Hyd jack and steel I had.The fitup of the hitch was another issue. Curt provides shims for the bottom of the frame pads, but the hitch was about 1/2" narrower than the trucks frame. I ended up making my own 0.20" shims, one for each side to center the hitch. Here's the Plus! I called customer support and THEY ARE GREAT! While the tech didn't know why, he got back to me ASAP and we had several emails. He thinks the fact the truck was a 2020, but built in late 2019 might have been part of the issue?

Perfect fit, didn’t have to cut or drill anything, holes line up better than a marching band. Easy to install, an extra hand would have been nice but I was able to get it up there on my own. I am always impressed with the quality of Curt products.

I can’t imagine there being another hitch that would be easier. Took me less than an hour, and that is with two breaks! I have a 2020 GMC 3500 AT4 and the fit was perfect!

This is the second Curt front receiver that I have installed. The unit comes in one piece with all the hardware necessary to install. Instructions are clear and with good illustrations. Took about an hour and looks great.I use it to push my RV Trailer back into a very tight parking spot. My wife calls it her marriage saver since pushing is so much more precise than pushing and doesn't require as many swear words. Highly recommended.
