I used this shock to replace a blown out Fox Float R. It does the job but isn't as nice and took a fair amount of modification to make it fit.

So far, so good. I'll start by saying that I don't have much experience with suspension on bikes, I normally ride hardtail. I bought this to replace a blown coil shock on a bike I've had for a long time and haven't ridden much. I haven't done any downhill riding with this shock yet, but it's good for the xc I've done. I had to cut the mounting hardware to fit, but expected that. I had read a comment about the shock being dry, so I put some fork lube on it before I used it and it seems good. All in all, it seems to work really good.

You will like the ride quality on rough trails without breaking the bank. Spend a little time adjusting the pressure to your weight/ride style and you'll love how this shock performs. I abuse the hell out of my bike and so far, this has held together well for me. It replaced shocks I had from Fox and others at less than 1/3 the price. Recommend highly.

Only had rear shock since Aug 10, 2020 and it has already blown a seal just from a casual trail ride. Shock felt good until it blew. Much better off spending the extra money on a Rockshox or Fox Racing. There is a reason why these DNM air shocks are so cheap. As a follow up (07/25/2022} another friend of mine had purchased same shock and the seal blew so I decided take it apart by letting out all the air out of the shock first then put the shock eyelet on a vise bench and using a strap wrench to loosen the shock air can to expose the rear shock internals. The reason why the seal blew was because of too much friction on the seal caused by lack of grease. All I had to do was use some suspension grease on the internals of the rear shock and was able to put the seal back in and put the rear shock back together. After doing that the shock performed better than it was new. Much better small bump compliance and the rear shock felt very plush. Feels just as good as my Rockshox Monarch RT3 if not slightly better on the small bumps and just as good on the large hits. I changed my rating from 1 star to 3 stars because the rear shock in itself is good but due to manufacturer not adding enough grease or lack of grease to the shock internals causing too much stiction which causes the wiper seal to pop out.
