Cable is not exactly the same lenght of the original cable on the other side. So it's taking all the load when gate is down and loading stuff on the truck. Other than that, it fitted fine.

Used on my Chevy Avalanche! I wanted an adjustable tailgate, Ive tied mine before, so needless to say they finally broke. So I thought I’d see if I could get these to work on my 2010 avalanche and I did not have to change or do anything different! Super excited!! Why didn’t I do this along time ago!

Perfect.I didn't read the description of the item and when it came there was a pair. And that's the way you want to replace these things in pairs. I kept the one alright one that was on vehicle for spare.oh ye ah it came with hardware too
