Was having intermittent issues with my hatch opening. Never did it at the dealership so they wouldn’t replace it under warranty. I finally had enough and tried ordering an OEM but everyone was back ordered. This is the only aftermarket electric parts brand I would gamble with. Swapping it out was straight forward after I figured out how to get the trim off. It has worked great for a a month so far. Nice positive engagement. Hopefully it will last at least as long as the factory part.

Direct fit in a 2015 Edge with actuator issues that drained the battery. If you run into the battery drain issue, remove the 30A fuse #76 from the bottom power distribution box in the engine bay until you can replace the actuator. If your liftgate is stuck closed, you should be able to manually unlock through a small panel in the liftgate trim. Replacing the actuator requires removing the liftgate interior trim and I had a challenge with the recessed liftgate handle bolts, but it's is easy otherwise: 3 torx bolts and 2 connectors. Watch a couple Youtube videos on these before getting started, as the instructions provided with this part are pointless (remove bolts, remove connector A, remove connector B, remove part, etc).
