Fit perfectly. Took less than an hour to install. Seems allot better made than the aftermarket one I bought and only lasted a couple years.

We installed this item in January 2020 in a 2015 Toyota RAV4. It failed in August 2023. It was easy to install and worked fine until now, but it didn't last long.

Door is pretty easy to get into, but getting the key lock shaft from the outside key lock attached is pretty tricky. I didn't want to buy something cheap only to have my wife holler "Its broke again" and Dorman is a reputable company. Looks exactly like the OEM unit, fits perfect!!!

If you can replace a car battery and break pads, then replacing this actuator will be a piece of cake. The Lexus dealer gave me a $749 estimate to replace the actuator, and I completed the repair for under $200. So far the actuator is working just like the original part, but you need slightly more force to close the door. I will give an update in 6 months, but so far I'm happy with this product. I will order this part for my other door as well. Good luck!!!

EDIT: *WARNING* This failed on me less than a month after the return window closed! This looks and feels like a genuine part, but I'm not sure now. It's been maybe 6-7 weeks since I installed it and my door won't stay closed. The latch moves correctly and the door is not impeded from closing all the way, but nothing holds the latch in place and the door just drifts back open. Now I have an emergency undrivable situation going into a holiday weekend. Wish me luck with Dorman customer service.I had the problem on a Lexus GX460 where the driver's side door would not unlock or lock electronically. It was like going back in time 25 years. Had to use the key or the lock knob on the inside every time. All it is this the door lock actuator inside the door. The mechanism doesn't fail, but the electronic motor that operates it does. To replace it, I found three options - the OEM Toyota brand was well over $300, which was above my warranty deductible, but door locks weren't listed as a covered item. There were several here on Amazon that were as low as $30, which was tempting but seemed suspiciously too cheap. If the mechanism were to fail because it's cheaply made, I would have to crawl in and out from another door. This Dorman part was priced below my deductible, and seems to have a good reputation and guarantee for quality.Replacement was intimidating, but turned out to be a lot easier. I bought a trim tool kit to get some nice tough plastic pry tools and a set of pliers for those plastic rivet things. With the help of a YouTube video, I had the door panel off safely without any damage or scratches. This part is held in by 3 screws in the edge of the door and one metal bracket that swings out of the way but doesn't come out of the door. It connects with a rod from the exterior door handle and lock that easily slides into that yellow hole by feel, two cables for the inside door handle and lock that connect just like a bicycle's brakes, and a wire harness. It's easy to find instructions on YouTube.Everything works, and I noticed that when I lock/unlock or open and close the doors, the latch feels heavier duty. It's hard to explain but my wife noticed it too. It's a tiny bit louder and a heavier pull, but it still feels smooth. It just feels like there's stronger springs and heavier metal components, or maybe the original one was just worn out. I'm expecting the other doors to fail over several years, but I won't be taking this car into the shop for it. Too easy and satisfying to get it done myself with this part.

The driver side door on my 2007 Camry did not lock or unlock with the electronic door lock or fob buttons. Intermittent problems, multiple chirps, other doors worked. Same symptoms with 2 fobs. Took to dealer who thought it was the fob battery! I was surprised that it worked well for a week after that. I suspected it was the Door Lock Actuator. Much less expensive than OEM, but essentially the same product. It was not too hard to install. About an hour, and I didn't know what I was doing. I did not remove the window. Two challenging aspects: 1) finagling the new and old parts around the window track. (If you move it down toward the bottom of the door there is more room, and 2) getting the lock bar into the hole on the actuator. Maybe there is a trick to that one, but I just spent 15 minutes working on that.Buying from Amazon was a breeze. I had the part next day!
