1998 Chevy c1500 Silverado. After adjustment , not a lot of threads left. And still doesn’t hold on steep hill. Might be about an inch or less longer than OEM. Will let it set a while and readjust.

The cable is the right length but the spring that hooks to the brake lever is a 7inch when the old one is 5"I just cut some off but it says it's supposed too fit

The cable only worked after modification. The spring length of the side that goes into the rear brake, was too long. After not knowing why the cable seemed too short, I did some investigation. Turns out several others have experienced this issue with the Dorman cable. After cutting out about 1.5" worth of spring, it fit. Be prepared to modify this cable if you install on an 88-92 Chevy/GMC 1500 std cab/longbed.

I still need to install this Parking brake cable, along with the other two cable's that I purchased for my 1996 Chevy Silverado Extended cab K1500.Based on the visual quality of the product and shipping speed, I will give 5 stars at this time.I will update this review in the future once I install the item's and at that time give a positive or negative review.
