How have we owned this brand hitch, and not know this accessory was a thing?? The side to side rattling was the worst. Now, the problem just no longer exists. It's a pricey lock, but absolutely worth it.

It did not work because drawtite made the hitch 75956 missing the 2nd hole. Even though the picture shows 2nd hole

The package was completely torn apart, seems like it has been already opened and used. There is a small dent on the J-Pin. I like the idea of the J-Pin. But seller's product management is terrible.

These are the best to secure a hitch accessory. Bike rack, tray, etc. Without it rattling or shaking. Locking too

I purchsed this for my Allen bike rack. The pin would fit in my receiver fine, but would not fit into the hole in the bike rack. My husband took a graduated titanium drill bit to it and enlarged the hole to approximately 11/16. Now the pin goes right through both holes. The bolt is easy to tighten. You DON'T have to get a rachet wrench for this application. The one included works just fine. One or 2 hand tightens with the enclosed wrench and it is great. No wobbles. And then just place the lock. I wanted this kind because you get your no wobble with the ability to lock. I was just going to use the no wobble bolt that came with the rack, but there was no way to lock it. The shorter end (the "U" part)of the pin fits nicely into the hole on the end of the hitch receiver. Well worth the money to have piece of mind

This thing worked like a champ. Stayed tight on a 4500lbs load, did not loosen once on a fairly rough 1400 km road trip. Kept the hitch cinched super tight. Absolutely love it. Mind you my new hitch was predrilled for this jhook to work without me having to drill a hole, so there's that... so I cant comment on others problems or not on that stage of installation. But again, I cant say enough both loaded on the way up and unloaded on way back, hitch stayed cinched tight without a single problem.

This is the only hitch tightener that actually works reliably without loosening up with use. Other designs do not offer this reliability and security against theft.

This is the cats meow for hooking on a trailer. No rattle or jerking, it smooths out trailer hauling unbelievably. .If you don't have the extra hole on your receiver just line up the pin, mark it and drill a hole. BUT don't leave it on the receiver during the winter. I had one and left it on for 2 years and ruined it. But I am so pleased to have gotten another one on Amazon because none of the trailer places carry it. A must have for a great ride while towing anything.

Used with the Draw-Tite hitch (75658) on a VW Tiguan.Perfect fit and function. Make sure you have the additional hole in your receiver for this product to work.I'll update after getting more towing hours on it.

Quality made product. Well worth the price. As long as you can maintain the rubber cap over the lock, mud, water and anything else that might get in and foul up the lock won't bother it. May want to put some lubricant in the lock when you receive it. Seems a bit dry from the manufacturer. This item is easier to work with than other similar products. Keep in mind that no device will ever completely eliminate hitch rattle, but this sure does help. Before you buy it, this is a 5/8" pin and designed for 2" receivers. If you do not have the second smaller hole closer to the end of the receiver and your vehicle you could drill one. My receiver has the second hole and this J pin works great. The picture shows a round key for the lock. It is actually a flat key. The wrench for the nut is included, but a crescent wrench or box end wrench will work just as good.

Easy to install and does the job perfectly - no more rattle, no more sway. A solidly built, locking anti-rattle hitch pin ... what more could you ask for?I am using it with a Draw-Tite hitch that is about 2 years old and has a hole pre-drilled for the J-Pin. Just make sure that your hitch is compatible with the J-Pin configuration.Others have stated problems with the packaging - however, mine arrived perfectly intact. Amazon wrapped the plastic retail packaging in brown packing paper before boxing. Had the plastic retail packaging opened during shipping, the brown packing paper would have easily contained any loose pieces. Your mileage may vary, but ZERO problems with the packaging for me.
