These are not 6.6 Ah as described. One of these batteries fully charged does not last as long as the 4Ah Ryobi batteries that came with my tools. As the Ah rating of theses batteries is over 1-1/2 times, I would expect that the battery would also last about 1-1/2 times, which they do not. I would strongly recommend that you pass on these batteries.

I have three 40 VDC battries now and this is the fastest charging and longest lasting (per charge).

Updated review October 4, 2004:I got this at the beginning of May and have used it all summer. It charges quickly and allows me to finish my whole front yard without having to change batteries, just as the original Ryobi battery used to. I'm still very pleased with this purchase!I got this replacement battery for my Ryobi lawnmower. The original battery died, and Ryobi didn't offer an affordable option. I have used it 5-6 times, and it's working great so far. I've had no issues charging it. I can now mow my whole yard again on one battery without it dying out. It takes 30-40 minutes, depending on the grass height.I am very happy with the quality of this battery. If anything changes, I will update my review.

Utter failure as a product.The battery was fully charged, used once and refused to take a second charge.

I am comparing DTK 40V 6.6Ah battery to RYOBI 4Ah OP40401 40V battery using Ryobi 14" HP brushless chainsaw with a brand new Oregon low profile chain. OEM battery keeps chainsaw running at higher speeds through logs all the way through battery life than the DTK battery. Have to feed into log much slower than OEM to not bog down... Have placed several full charge cycles on DTK batteries to "condition" and no improvement. Yes, OEM battery was 2X the price for 1. However, new chain with OEM battery cuts oak and hickory wood like butter. Not on these batteries... have to stay below about 4" log diameter. Hence just middle of road review... Of note the DTK batteries do not have W or Wh rating listed. OEM listed 144 Wh. Power and Energy (power over time) do the work, need amps PLUS voltage!

Better quality than I expected for the price = great value. My package arrived before the first expected date. The product is good quality - plastics, packaging, warranty, overall finishing - gave me a feeling that it would last for as long as i need it to. The replacement is a slightly different shape from the original - perhaps because it is 9 cells whereas the original was a 6 and that raises the angle of my laptop and actually improves the viewing and typing angle - an added bonus I had not realized at time or ordering. Packaging was fantastic and thoroughly secure! Can't rate the battery life yet in my review but expect it will last beyond the 12 month warranty period so I have no worries on that score.
