I needed a new plane blade as mine was damaged,so I purchased this one ,it arrived with a protective edge cover, don't know why it had that ,the edge is flat and totally blunt, as I need it I've got to spend time trying to get a decent edge,

The first includ in my plane was so uneven that I tried with a hammer ass I saw on youtube by Paul Sellers. Ass this was hardens it broke: My fault. So I odered 2 new ones. On the first I can't get a sharp edge. And with the second a had to spend a long time to flatten the first half inch to get a reasonable sharp blade.
