This isn't a lighter weight cloth like I use for laying up a surfboard repair or a hull repair. The thickness is helpful for deck connections and topside repair. The weave is pretty tight so I recommend laying your resin down with a little powder to get it sticky to hold the shape when you layer the glass. Soaks up a lot of resin but finished very strong. This would be great for replacing the decking of a small boat where you aren't doing too many corner transitions and laying it mostly flat.

This is a really generous amount of material for the price. Seems like good quality as well, although I haven't had a cha nce to epoxy yet. I will report back when I do if there are any issues, but so far I'm impressed.

4 stars, at least. Seems to be pretty much the same stuff we used in the automotive body-shop to fabricate body panels, hoods primarily. I'm going to play with some fiberglass and carbon fiber combination, see if I can construct something like armor plating - if I can get something that will stop a 12-gage slug at 50-75 yards, it would be useful enough. I also have some sculpture work I'm going to explore with fiberglass as a medium.
