This is a pretty low-tech item but it needs to be precisely made to get a smooth surface.I installed these 3 blades yesterday and I have only done maybe 10 board feet of fir with them but so far, so good.The difference from the old dull blades is stark. I wish I had done it a long time ago. The planer does not strain at all and the results are a lot better, I didn't think they'd change that much. I'm kind of a new woodworker.In any case, the boards came out nicely smooth and even. Installing the blades takes some careful work, I wear thick gloves because I once cut myself working with a smallher hand planer and I'm paranoid.They looked like they were even and well aligned and I think that's true. There are no waves or rough spots where the tool did the work.I like these a lot. They're probably not as good or as long lasting as the expensive or Dewalt blades but for my purposes, they seem great. I think they'll last an appropriate amount of time. If they wear out early, I'll revise this review.
