I installed this over the course of about 3 days. Because of the weight and torque involved with this product, I actually had to hire a contractor to handle things from the inside of the rafters. It took a few shots at trouble-shooting the install to begin feeling like it wouldn't rip my roof apart if the right kid dunks on it. The instructions are thorough, but are confusing. They could really use many more pictures and/or diagrams. It arrived by special freight, and the box was torn up and bolts were floating around. Miraculously, the parts were all there.In the end, i've got exactly what i wanted: A very nice looking hoop with a clean, clutter-free install, the ability to lower it to about 7', and plenty of clearance out into the driveway and away from the gutter.
