Upon opening my “brass trunk”, I found that the hardware was simply cheap painted steel that shows wear easily. Also there was mouse feces scattered throughout the packaging upon opening the product.

The trunk is pretty and well made. The only issue (hence the 4 star) is in the picture the hardware looks like an antique brass or gold/green brass. The hardware on the actual trunk is a bright gold brass so I was a little thrown off as I am not a fan of bright gold hardware but everything else is great so I am keeping it.
