I read the reviews, people complaining that they leaked. Not sure what they received but mine work great. Just remember to not try to connect or disconnect while under pressure

looks like brass in the picture but it's super light weight aluminum anodized to look like brass. will return and get something more expensive but would last longer.

You expect when you buy your garden hose everything will match up. Sometimes it doesn’t. So I ordered the connectors for one hose and ended up needing it for 2 other garden hose’s. Without it I would be watering my garden with a bucket.

I used them to connect the hose between our RV and the water supply at campgrounds. Also for the garden hose. They work smoothly, easy to connect and disconnect and did not leak.

Like a lot of folks, I ordered these for my RVs because it makes it cake work to take hoses on and off. I haven't had any leak issues or the like. Understand that these are cheap, so the metal is kind of meh, and I don't know how much abuse they could stand being smooshed or something but in my case it was a set it and forget it kind of deal and for that they work great and I can plug in hoses and remove them without a care.A lot of the complaints about them are well founded but can be mitigated. You're buying a cheap product but you CAN make them last and work well.Pro-tips:1. You want to create a seal so do not overtighten the heck out of these things and crush the o-ring until it gets cut apart by the metal and then leaks. Get a nice strong seal, may a quart to half turn past finger tight if you have good strong hands. More than that will cause it to leak. No need to Magilla Gorilla the darn thing. This will be plenty steady to plug the hose in and out.2. Put some o-ring silicon lubricant or grease or oil on the o-rings before your first install. This will ensure you get a good seal and no leaks. I haven't had any leak so far about a year in from when I installed the first one. If you are installing this onto your fresh water source for an RV like I did, get some food grade lubricant like they use on SCUBA gear or filtered water machines etc. Better to be safe than sorry. There is so little that there shouldn't be an issue but no need to take a chance if you might ingest it in any way.3. Add some plastic protectant (303, Armor All, whatever) to the plastic ring(s) on the outside that you use to make the connections and such. This stops it from getting brittle over time and then cracking and breaking. Every time you clean your trailer or whatever just add a bit more as you are doing the tires or putting protectant elsewhere. My original one looks like it's brand new even after a year in the direct sunlight.4. As other suggestions have said, if yours does leak because you over tightened it, or the o-ring cracked over time because you didn't lube it, or something like that, you can use plumbers tape and that works, but really this is a last resort IMHO and I have never had to use plumbers tape with these so far but it is a fall back.Good luck!

I like the quickness of switching hose ends/detaching hose. It does seem to leak a bit. Not worth returning.
